As a hands‑on leader, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing daily warehouse activities while ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence. Your expertise will be crucial in optimising processes and motivating a talented team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee daily activities including goods receiving, inventory control, order fulfilment, and despatch.
  • Warehouse Operations Management: Optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation to maximise efficiency and safety.
  • Warehouse Operations Management: Maintain robust stock control systems to minimise loss, damage, and discrepancies.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Plan and coordinate transport schedules, routes, and deliveries for both UK and international customers.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport partners for timely and cost‑effective movement of goods.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Manage import/export documentation and ensure compliance.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and motivate warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and logistics coordinators.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular risk assessments and promote best practises in workplace safety.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor KPIs such as OTIF (On Time In Full), inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational excellence.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse and logistics management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, and inventory control procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Forklift certification or experience (Counterbalance & Flexi) - in‑house training provided.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards preferred.
  • Qualifications in Logistics/Warehouse Management or related fields (preferred but not essential).
