Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of their busy warehouse based in Wokingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing goods‑in, order picking, returns processing, and inventory control, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all warehouse activities.

This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with company ISO standards, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service quality.

This fantastic role is offering a salary of up to £36,000 dependent on experience and will be located in Wokingham. Your working hours will be 9am to 5:30pm with overtime available for extra hours worked. Preferably a driver.

Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Manager role are :
  • Manage and supervise a team of 3 responsible for receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
  • Schedule and coordinate staff rotas to align with workload demands.
  • Coach and develop warehouse team members to meet performance expectations and improve engagement.
  • Ensure outbound orders are picked accurately and on time to meet workshop processing deadlines.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Maintain high standards of stock accuracy through perpetual and annual stock takes.
  • Ensure stock security and oversee the safe handling of equipment and warehouse plant.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to maximise warehouse efficiency.
  • Ensure daily checks are completed for all warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, lifting aids).
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Coordinate with the Stock Auditor to ensure timely completion of audit tasks and accuracy of records.
  • Oversee maintenance tasks (site‑related or equipment) through the Maintenance Team.
  • Generate and publish warehouse KPIs and operational reports to senior management.
