Warehouse and Forklift Operative

Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (37.5 hrs/week, 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent | No Weekends | No Shifts

Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential

About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our clients close-knit, long-standing team. If you're counterbalance forklift-licensed driver and want a better work/life balance with a stable Monday-Friday routine - this could be the role for you.

You'll play a key part in day-to-day warehouse operations, especially as they enter their busy season. The role is split roughly 50/50 between operating a counterbalance forklift and manual warehouse duties.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Unloading incoming deliveries using a counterbalance forklift
• Putting away stock into racking or bulk storage areas
• Assembling customer orders
• Preparing and loading pallets for dispatch
• General warehouse upkeep - cleaning, tidying, and supporting where needed
• Manual handling of items such as boilers (25-35kg), so physical fitness is important

What We're Looking For

• Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
• Good level of physical fitness (regular manual handling required)
• A reliable, team-focused attitude
• Ability to work at pace, especially during peak periods
