A leading healthcare provider in Exeter is seeking a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join their oncology and haematology teams. The successful candidate will take on designated leadership roles, coordinate SACT delivery, and provide high-quality care to patients. Ideal applicants should have a Registered Nurse qualification and experience in oncology. The position offers a salary of £38,682 to £40,823 per annum pro rata, with part-time hours and extensive benefits including professional development opportunities.

The oncology and haematology departments, Yeo ward 23 bedded Oncology Ward and Yarty ward 14 bedded Haematology Ward, serve inpatients and dedicated day‑case units caring for people receiving cancer treatments including radiotherapy, systemic anti‑cancer treatments (SACT) and supportive therapies.
The teams care for patients throughout the pathway, undergoing diagnostic, curative and palliative procedures, and manage symptoms related to treatments or disease process.
The team is looking for experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated registered nurses to join our friendly and supportive group. We focus on ensuring patients receive high‑quality care throughout their cancer journey. You will be expected to adopt a holistic, pro‑active and dynamic approach, and take on designated leadership roles, SACT delivery, operational outreach, weekend working, and the delivery of a high standard of care and service to patients.

Your days will be varied, offering support to clinicians, mentorship of Band 5 SACT nurses and patients. You will be supported by a clinical management team who are present and visible, supporting the development of your skills and helping you reach your full potential. The cancer department offers education, including access to external courses, a degree, and masters pathway, which can be tailored to successful applicants.
To provide expert skill and knowledge in the care and delivery of SACT medication, and to support the CNM with developing new managerial responsibilities.
Working Pattern: Internal Rotation/Day Case/OT or St. Mary.
