Ward Clerk - Ha Ward F11

The closing date is 29 December 2025

A part time (33 hours) maternity cover opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk primarily based in Haematology to ensure all reception processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner, providing an efficient reception and quality service to all users.

The post holder will interact with the General Public, Nursing, Medical staff and other Trust Administrative and Clerical Staff.

Main duties of the job
  • Attend, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
  • Speak face to face or over the telephone to deal with the patient’s needs, including booking appointments.
  • Use Patient Centre and attend patients on reception desks.
  • Book appointments for patients as required.
  • Deal with enquiries of a sensitive nature.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Accurately record and collect patient data using Patient Administration System, identifying and correcting errors including patient demographics.
  • Coordinate clinic preparation and various admin tasks to support clinical activity.
