A health service organization in London is seeking a Band 5 Nurse for the School Age Immunisation Programme. This position involves delivering vaccinations to children in schools and community clinics, promoting public health and safeguarding. Ideal for newly qualified nurses or those seeking to shift from ward-based roles, you'll receive comprehensive training and support. Enjoy a fulfilling role within a dedicated team committed to improving children's health outcomes.
Your day starts by packing vaccine equipment and preparing for school or clinic visits. In the morning, you'll be out in the community delivering vaccinations. You may visit two schools per day during the busy flu season. After a break, you'll return to base to restock and prepare for the next day.
Hours: Term Time. We are looking for Band 5 Nurses to join our Wandsworth Immunisation Team, part of the South London Children and Young People's Community Immunisation Service.
This is a rewarding and fast‑paced role where you will help deliver school‑aged and catch‑up immunisations across schools and community clinics – protecting children and young people from preventable diseases.
If you are passionate about public health, enjoy working with children, and want to build your clinical and safeguarding experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note: Our Wandsworth office has relocated to our Sutton and Merton site in Morden.
