A children's service organization in Reading is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to provide overnight supervision and care for children in a residential home. The ideal candidate will support the children's emotional and physical needs, maintain a safe environment, and handle administrative tasks during the night. Experience with children or vulnerable people and a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is preferred. The role offers an annual salary starting from £27,000 and various benefits including funded training and a pension.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll be responsible for safeguarding and supporting children overnight in one of our residential homes. You will ensure a safe, calm, and nurturing environment, attend to children's emotional and physical needs, and complete essential tasks to prepare the home for the following day.
