A community support organization in Herne Bay is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to assist individuals with autism and learning disabilities. The role involves supporting daily routines, planning activities that boost wellbeing, and building trusting relationships. The ideal candidate should have experience in a care environment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to promoting independence and wellbeing for those they support. You will be part of a dedicated team, promoting a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
Location: Herne Bay, Kent
Salary: £13.09 per hour (£20,420.40 per annum) plus benefits.
Hours: 30 per week, guaranteed – stability you can count on
Driving Licence: Manual UK licence desirable but not essential

You’ll support me in building skills, growing my independence, and enjoying everyday activities—like supermarket trips, relaxing at home, and learning new things. I value kindness, dependability, and people who understand when I need space. My behaviour can sometimes be challenging, but with patience, resilience, and guidance from my behaviour support team, you’ll help me thrive.
To be considered, you’ll need experience in at least two of the following areas:
Experience supporting someone transitioning from an ATU setting to supported living is a bonus.
