Job summary

We are recruiting for a Volunteering Community & Outreach Coordinator to provide administration support to a range of volunteer led-services. These services offer essential support to people who are discharged home from hospital, and frail elderly people at risk of deconditioning and social isolation. You will provide detailed support to a group of highly engaged and skilled volunteers. We are looking for a confident administrator who is not afraid to take on new challenges. You will be joining a dynamic team who work with over 300 volunteers making a difference to patients, staff and the way our hospital is run.

Main duties

The Community & Outreach Volunteering Coordinator will provide the administration support to underpin the suite of Volunteering Community & Outreach Volunteering Services: Volunteer Discharge Support Service, Gentle Movement Volunteering, EDDM Volunteering, Community Exercise Volunteering Service.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or acquired equivalent experience
  • Sound experience of managing projects from start to finish
  • Supervising people including staff and volunteers
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, FaceTime, WhatsApp and PowerPoint
  • Sound experience of undertaking evaluation and monitoring KPIs within a project
  • Full understanding of requirement for excellent customer service - both internally and externally

Desirable

  • Experience of working with volunteers in an NHS or Health Field
