The Volunteer Services Manager is a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for the ground-up revival, development, and expansion of a robust, system-wide volunteer program at Kent Hospital. This individual acts as the chief architect of volunteer engagement, creating a vibrant corps of passionate community members dedicated to enhancing the patient and family experience.

The Manager designs and deploys innovative, demand-driven volunteer programs that provide meaningful support to the Emergency Department, Inpatient units, Outpatient clinics, and Surgical services. A key leadership function of this role includes co-chairing the hospital\'s Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), translating patient feedback into actionable improvements. This position is central to sourcing, managing, and inspiring our volunteer talent to ensure their contributions are seamlessly integrated and highly impactful across all hospital service lines.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the revival, development, and expansion of a system-wide volunteer program at Kent Hospital.
  • Architect volunteer engagement initiatives and build a vibrant volunteer corps.
  • Design and deploy demand-driven volunteer programs supporting the Emergency Department, Inpatient units, Outpatient clinics, and Surgical services.
  • Co-chair the hospital\'s Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and translate patient feedback into actionable improvements.
  • Source, manage, and inspire volunteer talent to ensure contributions are integrated and impactful across service lines.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in operations management, volunteer management, program coordination, community engagement, or talent acquisition is required.
  • Experience within a healthcare or hospital setting is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing, recruiting, and retaining talent or volunteers is essential.
