Location : Newbury + Hybrid

Salary : Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working Hours : Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

What you'll do
  • The prime responsibility will be to act as infrastructure technical authority, analysing, assessing, collaborating and managing the delivery from our vendors to ensure design and delivery of critical infrastructure to the required standard of quality and cost.
  • You will assess, evaluate and work with Vendors to understand infrastructure assets and refine, maintain and adhere to the processes including life cycle management.
  • You manage the external vendor in the delivery of internal infrastructure projects.
  • You will drive technical compliance and excellence as well as provide infrastructure leadership to Technology and business functional areas.
  • You will work with technical leads, delivery teams, operational staff, Group, business representatives and third-party vendors to create & own delivery roadmaps and technical direction.
  • Provide Technical Leadership to UK for infrastructure areas like Security compliance, Database and infrastructure upgrade and simplification projects by driving the right solutions for the UK business.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, modernisation and simplification to drive business efficiency and infrastructure efficiency.
  • Own Infrastructure structure policies and standards for UK.
Who you are
  • Deep Infrastructure Expertise : Experience in large-scale infrastructure modernization, focusing on Windows / Linux OS, VMware, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Strong understanding, technical experience in handling of vulnerability management and awareness of industry standard security compliance.
  • Database and Platform Knowledge : understanding of Oracle and SQL Server, including integration, optimization, and lifecycle management on-premises and cloud.
  • Led major infrastructure deployments / migrations in large-scale environments.
  • Deep dive into technical details and communicate complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Understanding : Knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their integration with on-premises systems for hybrid models and security compliance.
