Catch22 is a modern and progressive employer with 1,300 colleagues and 300 volunteers working across the social welfare cycle, supporting over 60,000 individuals from cradle to career. Our work spans education, justice and rehabilitation, children's social care, family support, social action and helping people into work.
Catch22 College is the collective name for 7 sites across the country delivering academic and vocational training programmes for young people aged 16+ who, for whatever reason, are not suited to a mainstream school setting.
Our Peterlee, Bishop Auckland and Stanley sites, like our other School sites, provide students with a highly supportive environment where they can build confidence and self-belief, gain new skills, and work towards their goals in life. We exist to help our students find their future.
The post is to work across all 3 Durham-based sites (1 day Stanley, 2 days Peterlee, 1 day Bishop) with a planning day at a site to be arranged based on the closest location to the candidate. We are an accredited centre for City and Guilds, NCFE and Edexcel.
The role of Vocational Tutor is an excellent opportunity to support learners in developing their knowledge and skills and helping them access appropriate training and employment opportunities.
As a qualified tutor, you will teach Employability and Customer Service to 16 to 19 year olds (up to 24 with an EHCP). You will be supported by our Lead Teachers, who are responsible for leading the team to drive up quality, reach and exceed KPIs, and promote an ethos of continuous improvement.
