A health trust in the UK is seeking professionals to support individuals with learning disabilities, particularly in visual and hearing care. The Kent Community Health and Learning Disabilities (KCHFT) Learning Disability team delivers a multidisciplinary model of care, providing specialist clinical expertise, behavioural support and developmental opportunities to people with learning disabilities and their families. The team works across four geographic localities and partners with Kent County Council social care services and Kent Mental Health Trust to deliver a coordinated and holistic service.
The Vision and Hearing Support Team supports people with a learning disability to access high quality optometry, ophthalmology, audiology and Ear, Nose, Throat care. Services include screening, familiarisation programmes, reasonable adjustments and awareness training. The team ensures equal opportunity to mainstream services.
