You will play a crucial role in creating long-form YouTube edits and engaging social videos from raw footage across a number of both our original and branded podcasts including Geraint Thomas Cycling Club, Red Bull’s Just Ride and For The Love of Rugby.

Your expertise in video creation will help elevate the video content strategy on each show and build on the strong communities surrounding the podcasts.

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants that are underrepresented in the podcast and media industry, such as those from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds or those with disabilities.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proficient in Premiere Pro and a portfolio to showcase your work for both YouTube and social media
  • Ability to edit full-length YouTube videos and YouTube shorts
  • Experience in social media content creation and understanding of social media platforms – Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat. You will know what works best for each platform and have experience of creating content for each
  • Knowledge of Photoshop for creating thumbnails and graphics
  • Basic motion graphic skills in After Effects
  • Good editorial judgement and proven ability in this area. You are confident in making creative decisions when editing and are comfortable in adding your own ideas to videos. You are willing to experiment to produce standout videos.
  • You can follow instructions from producers and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in relation to workflow and file management
  • Flexible and able to contribute across a variety of podcasts, applying your skills to different sports and genres
ABOUT YOU

You are a skilled video editor who wants to work on some of the UK’s biggest sports podcasts.

You will have at least three years of experience editing both long-form and short-form video, particularly multi-cam editing.

You have a knowledge of road cycling but also a broad sports knowledge and a passion for learning new sports.

PACKAGE

Video producers report to the Content Director and will work alongside audio producers on a range of Crowd podcasts.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK; however, travel to the Crowd offices in Manchester will be required from time-to-time as will on-location shooting.

We are a Manchester-based company, so we are particularly keen to hear from people in the North West, or those willing to relocate.

The salary for the role is £27,000 but is dependent on experience. You will also get:

  • 25 days holiday per year plus an extra day for your birthday after 2 years of full service
  • Actively managed pension scheme
  • Life Assurance, Income Protection and Health Cash Plan

Please submit your CV, cover letter, and links to content you’ve previously produced. We’d also like 250 words on how you’d use your skills to improve the Geraint Thomas Cycling Club video offering.
