For our Corporate Finance – Investment Banking Continental Europe division in London we are looking to hire a :

Vice President Corporate Finance - London

Your role in the team :

Berenberg is looking to hire a Vice President to join its London-based Corporate Finance team, which supports European clients on a wide range of Equity Capital Market (ECM) transactions. The role will offer the candidate exposure to a large number of high-profile deals across multiple sectors, including TMT, Consumer and Indus-trials. Berenberg has rapidly grown to become one of the leading investment banks in Europe, with a particularly strong track record and brand name for ECM transactions for small and medium-sized companies.

The successful candidate will be a key team member for the origination and execution efforts of the team and will be based in London. This represents an incredible opportunity for candidates who are forward thinkers and ambitious to grow their career, while providing autonomy and client exposure unrivalled at many firms.

What will you do?
  • Leading on a project management level the Corporate Finance team on IPOs, pre-IPO financing rounds and other capital market transactions from start to closing
  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative market, company and competition analysis
  • Performing financial analysis and building financial models (including comparable company analysis and discounted cash flow models)
  • Leading the preparation of presentations materials, including pitch books and investor / analyst presen-tations
  • Identifying business opportunities and active participation in the origination efforts
  • Acting as role model for and providing training and guidance to junior team members
Who are we looking for?
  • Between 6-8 years of experience within an investment bank or corporate finance firm, with exposure to ECM and / or M&A transactions
  • Excellent academics - degree educated, ideally within the economics, finance or business fields
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to think “outside the box”
  • Impeccable communication skills allowing you to interact with peers, senior bankers and clients in an articulate and appropriate manner
  • Fluency in one of the following languages : Dutch, French or German
