Job description

Veterinary Surgeon - South West London

  • Proudly independent Practice in popular area of South West London
  • Newly refurbished with excellent facilities and busy and varied caseload
  • 4-day week with only 1 in 3 Saturday mornings and no OOH
  • Case continuity – ability to follow your cases through to completion.
  • 20‑minute consults
  • Salary up to £80,000 DOE

This proudly independent Veterinary practice who welcome pets of all shapes and sizes, whether they come with fur, beaks, scales, or feathers are looking for a 4th Vet Surgeon to join their expanding team.

A truly great opportunity to join this dynamic, professional team as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon and be part of their growth. You will be working alongside 3 other experienced Vets, one with RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Surgery and another with degrees in veterinary medicine and zoology.

The role would suit a Veterinary surgeon with at least 5 years’ experience under their belt and is confident in all areas of first opinion practice. My client is looking for an excellent communicator with teamwork skills as they discuss and share complicated cases and are never shy to ask each other for help. They do not turn away clients who own exotics, so an interest or basic knowledge of exotics is advantageous or be willing to learn.

The practice is based in a very popular and affluent residential area of South West London anchored by its High Street, which has modern Asian and European dining, as well as the weekly Street Markets. Cocktail bars with street-facing patios, wood-panelled pubs, with a laid-back vibe. There is a large public park with jogging paths and playgrounds - the perfect location to suit all interests.

The practice is well equipped with state-of-the-art operating theatres, 3 consult rooms, imaging suite, in house IDEXX Lab, separate dog and cat wards and waiting areas, ultrasound, digital x‑ray, ortho equipment and much more.

Benefits
  • Salary up to £80,000 dependent on experience
  • 6 weeks annual leave and your birthday off
  • No Bank holidays worked
  • RCVS/VDS
  • £1,500 towards CPD
  • Support for further qualifications including Certificate funding
  • Pension scheme
  • Private Healthcare insurance
