Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for an exciting new challenge? Would you like the chance to help shape the future of a brand-new, purpose‑built practice from the ground up? If so, we'd love to welcome you to join us at Glossop Vets for Pets.
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to become an integral part of our growing team. This is a flexible role offering either full or part time hours including Saturday working and importantly, there are no out‑of‑hours requirements, giving you a genuine work‑life balance in the Peak District.
Our brand-new practice is due to open in March 2026 inside one of our modern stores and has been designed with both clinical excellence and colleague wellbeing in mind. You'll be working in a light, spacious and air‑conditioned environment with access to state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
Our Practice Owners are both experienced in Veterinary & Nursing. Ibrahim graduated in 2001 as a Veterinary Surgeon and Leanne has 25+ years nursing experience.
We're based on the Wren Nest Retail Park, a small retail park with free parking next to Costa, Argos, Pure Gym and Next.
If you've ever dreamed of combining your veterinary career with a countryside lifestyle, this could be the perfect opportunity. Nestled at the foot of the famous Snake Pass, the market town of Glossop is an excellent base for exploring some of the Peak District's classic walking country. If you fancy a well‑earned break over coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, there are lots of cafés, pubs and restaurants to whet your appetite. Take time, also, to sample some warm Glossop hospitality in the town's real ale pubs and venues and enjoy some of the best live music in the area.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a practice at the very beginning of its journey, giving you the freedom to influence its future direction and make a genuine impact in the local community. With excellent facilities, a supportive employer, and the charm of a countryside lifestyle, this role offers the best of all worlds.
So, whether you're looking for your next challenge, want to pursue a certificate, or simply want a rewarding veterinary role with great balance, we'd love to hear from you.
