Overview

Veterinary Receptionist - Wakefield

If you enjoy providing great service and working in a team, we have just the opportunity for you at our Wakefield Westgate Vets4Pets practice as a part time veterinary receptionist.

Responsibilities
  • This is an admin role, working 18 hours a week.
  • You will work 2 days a week plus 9-5pm every Saturday.
  • There will be opportunity to pick up extra shifts covering your colleague's annual leave.
  • Basic IT skills are a necessity for this role.
  • What your typical day will look like: provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets, acting as the link between clients and the clinical team.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, their pets and the practice team; this is critical to success.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email and our digital messaging system.
  • Scan and file documents, attach documents to patient files.
  • Maintain the appointment diary to ensure the day runs smoothly.
  • Provide great client service during visits to ensure client satisfaction and anticipation of their next visit.
  • Greet clients and offer support, guidance and expertise; manage payments and future bookings confidently.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day routines of the practice using our computer booking system; computer literacy is a must.
Qualifications / Attributes
  • You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
  • You have good IT skills in relation to Microsoft Office and basic computer functions.
  • You are quick to learn new programs.
  • Training will be provided on the job with our practice management system and other software.
  • You provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.
  • You are calm, attentive, and always focus on the clients' needs.
  • You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role.
  • Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
  • You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client with difficult news to celebrating a new puppy's first visit to the vet.
  • You like to be busy, enjoy helping people and their pets, and strive to make a difference.
