Job description

Are you looking for a fulfilling nursing role in a welcoming and modern hospital setting? This 24‑Hour hospital is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a close‑knit team who work collaboratively, value high clinical standards, and love being part of a fun and friendly environment.

Located in a beautiful area of London and just a short walk from Gloucester Road Tube Station, this hospital offers a fantastic working environment and a chance to work with a highly experienced, supportive team. This is a part‑time role, working three days per week (25.5 hours), with a salary of £21,624. They’re happy to chat if you’re looking for more or fewer hours—flexibility is something they do well.

The hospital is equipped to handle a wide variety of complex cases. Facilities include a full in‑house laboratory, laparoscopic stack system, endoscopy, complex ultrasound, two operating theatres, as well as separate dog and cat wards, and a dedicated isolation area. You’ll have the chance to work with advanced equipment in a setting that supports your professional development and day‑to‑day enjoyment.

They deliver exceptional care—whether it’s to patients, clients, or each other. As part of the team, you’ll play an integral role in maintaining these high standards. You’ll be involved in surgical support, inpatient care, and nurse‑led appointments, and you’ll take responsibility for admissions, discharges, and medication management. Your ability to communicate clearly, coordinate with your team, and adhere to clinical and operational protocols will be key in delivering outstanding outcomes for pets and their owners.

This role is ideal for an RCVS‑registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong commitment to client and patient care, and a desire to work as part of a collaborative, high‑performing team. You should have experience running nurse consults and an appreciation for how they contribute to a practice’s overall success. If you bring a positive attitude, solid clinical knowledge, and the ability to support your colleagues through coaching and teamwork, you’ll fit right in.

In return, they offer a range of benefits. These include a health cash plan that covers services such as dental, physiotherapy, and optical care, along with 24/7 access to a private GP and confidential counselling support. You’ll receive five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to six weeks with length of service, and an additional paid Day for You to spend however you wish. They also support your ongoing development with a £750 CPD allowance and two paid CPD days per year, along with opportunities to pursue funded certificates and access internal learning resources. Your RCVS and VDS fees are covered, and you’ll be offered a pension scheme, a Cycle to Work scheme, and staff discounts.

If you're looking for a role that offers professional development, work‑life balance, and a genuinely supportive team culture in one of London’s most attractive locations, this could be the perfect fit.
