Veterinary Nurse (Anaesthesia)

Salary: Grade 5, £28,031 - £31,236 per annum, pro rata + 6% allowance for working weekend
Location: Small Animal Hospital, University of Glasgow

Full time (35 hours per week, Monday to Sunday) and open ended (permanent).

Passionate about referral anaesthesia in a fast‑paced hospital environment? We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate veterinary nurse with a strong interest in referral anaesthesia to join our Small Animal Hospital team.

Responsibilities
  • peri‑anaesthetic care
  • patient monitoring
  • analgesia
  • recovery nursing
  • rotation through key hospital areas and weekend work as part of the nursing rota.
  • Work within a busy referral theatre/treatment area complex alongside specialist clinicians on a wide range of advanced cases.

Referral or anaesthesia experience is desirable but not essential — training, mentorship, and ongoing development are provided. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse looking to develop or further a career in referral anaesthesia.
