Operations Management
- Recruit, manage, and coach a dedicated team of part-time and casual staff, fostering a culture of communication and customer service excellence.
- Maintain the theatre’s calendar, ensuring smooth coordination of rehearsals, performances, and room bookings for various activities.
- Oversee all booked events, managing rotas, materials, equipment, and facilities to guarantee a flawless experience.
- Collaborate with directors to enhance revenue-generating initiatives, including ticket sales, bar offerings, and catering options.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to uphold cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage stocks of supplies, ensuring we are always ready for our next performance.
Programming and Forward Planning
- Work with directors to shape future programming and initiatives based on audience feedback and engagement.
- Maintain comprehensive records of past performances to inform strategic decisions for future events.
- Develop innovative programming ideas that resonate with our mission and the interests of our community.
Marketing
- Collaborate with the Box Office team to gather and analyse audience feedback, shaping future programming and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms to exceed customer expectations.
- Work with the marketing team to create impactful press releases, maintain media relationships, and promote upcoming shows.
- Craft engaging content for social media, newsletters, and our website, ensuring up-to-date information for our audience.
Qualifications
Minimum Level 3 Qualification in theatre, business, tourism, hospitality, or a related field.
Skills Required
- Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask and manage various projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal abilities for effective communication with staff, patrons, and media.
- Customer Service Orientation: Proven ability to provide exceptional service and engage with diverse audiences, ensuring a positive visitor experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with business software, including finance, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and ticketing/booking systems.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse business data to inform strategies and improve operational efficiency.
Experience Required
- Previous management experience in theatre, leisure, hospitality operations, or marketing (including social media) is preferred.
- Familiarity with online systems for finance, CRM, and ticketing/booking is essential.
