Overview

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician/Vehicle Mechanic looking for a new challenge? We have opportunities for experienced Engineers to be part of an integral delivery programme for an MOD contract. If you have been in the Army recently and are looking for the next career move, this could be the role for you. If you have a Mechanical Maintenance background and are willing to become a member of the Army Reserve (through our client’s sponsorship programme), this could be the opportunity for you. As a Vehicle Mechanic you’ll be based at one of the Service Centres in the UK and may be required to travel in the UK and overseas on occasions.

Responsibilities
  • Be involved in service and maintenance of materials handling and plant equipment in support of the MOD.
  • Fault finding, breakdown repair, planned preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspection of equipment.
  • Ensure customer service is kept to a high level and address any queries.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and policies set out by customers and the business.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with experience on working on HGV/MHE/Vehicle Maintenance, Engines/Motors or similar.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles.
Benefits and Compensation

Base salary of £36,691 (subject to annual increases) plus an additional £3,000 bonus for maintaining Sponsored Reserve status, taking total to £39,691. Overtime is paid at 1.5x Monday to Friday and 2x on weekends. Pay enhancements apply when deployed on MOD assignments.
