Overview

Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
  • Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light/heavy goods vehicles.
  • Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
Qualifications
  • Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent); you should have your own toolkit for standard repairs.
  • Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience on a wide range of vehicles, e.g. LCV/HGV.
  • Valid UK driving licence: full manual UK driving licence; ideally an HGV licence with trailer experience.
  • High working standards: you take pride in your work and ensure the job is done effectively.
  • Flexible to service demands: able to work on a flexible shift rota and support your team where necessary.
Role details

We are recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic at Acton Workshop on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £60k per annum including overtime.

Working Hours: Full time – 39.50 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 07:00 – 15:30, week 2: 10:30 – 18:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday day off).
