Vehicle Technician – Cars & Vans

Basildon, Essex

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time – Monday to Friday | Saturdays worked on a rota basis, typically every other week, paid at an overtime rate

Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established business based in Basildon, Essex. This role involves working on a varied fleet of cars and vans, carrying out all aspects of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.

The Role

The successful Vehicle Technician will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards
  • Completing general servicing, repairs, and maintenance
  • Performing electrical and mechanical diagnostics using a range of diagnostic equipment, including manufacturer‑specific software
  • Undertaking occasional off‑site inspections, diagnostics, and running repairs
  • Providing customer‑facing support when required during off‑site work
Salary and Benefits
  • £36,000 – £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • 21‑day holiday including birthday, plus bank holidays

Requirements

We are seeking a fully skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician who holds industry‑recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ, and can demonstrate:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • High standards of quality, health and safety, and housekeeping
  • A proactive approach to keeping up to date with vehicle and product knowledge
