• Able to perform vehicle inspections to DVSA standards.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

Overview

Vehicle Technician - £36,000 to £42,000 per annum + Overtime & Shift Allowance

Location: Basildon

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

As a Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including:

• Carrying out vehicle inspections to DVSA standards
• Performing routine servicing and repair work on vans
• Conducting electrical and mechanical diagnostics using specialist diagnostic software
• Undertaking occasional offsite inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, with some direct customer contact

The Person

We are looking for a fully qualified and skilled Technician with recognised industry qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent). The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to use computer devices and diagnostic software confidently
• A proactive approach, able to work independently as well as within a team
• High standards of quality, health & safety, and housekeeping
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and stay up to date with vehicle technologies
• A valid UK driving licence (essential)

Working Hours

• Rotating shifts:
• 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday-Friday)
• 1:30pm - 10:00pm (Monday-Friday)
• Saturday mornings (7:00am - 12:00pm) on a rota basis, paid at overtime rate
