Job description

With a good basic salary £27,500 and overtime payable at time and a half, this is a great opportunity to join a small friendly team within a supportive family‑run business that has manufactured and sold luxury van conversions and premium motorhomes in Knottingley near Leeds and Wakefield for over 30 years. The company also has an ever‑growing used motorhome and campervan retail business. As a business with a strong reputation, the company prides itself on producing high‑quality vehicles and maintaining excellent presentation standards across its showroom and forecourt.

The Role
  • Oversee and manage the two valeters, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.
  • Carry out interior and exterior valeting of new and used motorhomes.
  • Ensure vehicles are customer‑ready at all times and complete final quality checks before customer handovers.
  • Prepare vehicles for photography shoots and online listings.
  • Fit number plates, accessories and handover items.
  • Move and manoeuvre motorhomes safely on and off site (including to/from motorhome shows).
  • Maintain stock of chemicals and cleaning consumables.

Working hours are Monday‑Friday (40 hours), with occasional weekend overtime paid at time and a half. All staff can join our contributory pension scheme. Applicants under 21 will receive the appropriate age‑related rate.

About You
  • Experience in valeting, detailing or vehicle preparation.
  • Confident supervising others and ensuring standards are met.
  • Strong eye for detail and pride in achieving a premium finish.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and manage workload efficiently to deadlines.
  • Clean driving licence preferred (or up to 6 points).
  • Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn.
  • A C1 licence is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided on operating and manoeuvring larger motorhomes.
