Do you have the skills to resolve issues and problems in production applications for the British Library?

Can you work with a variety of library users to deliver service changes, such as upgrading Digital Library Systems?

Would you like to be part of a team and enjoy the benefits of working in the Public Sector?

The British Library is seeking an Application Specialist in our Ingest and Preservation team, based in Boston Spa (Wetherby) or St Pancras (London), with a hybrid working pattern.

If hired, you will support and develop British Library services and participate in exciting new projects.

About you:

  • Experience supporting, configuring, and monitoring third-party or bespoke applications
  • Experience with operational acceptance testing and deploying changes to production systems using appropriate controls
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team to meet customer service levels and SLAs
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach
  • Systems analysis and documentation skills
  • Experience with data migration and file management
  • Experience supporting applications in a Windows environment
  • Knowledge of SQL database querying
