An exciting opportunity for an experienced User Researcher to work for a public sector organisation in Edinburgh. The User Researcher will be embedded in a multidisciplinary team and responsible for planning and carrying out user research activities in line with the overall Digital Strategy. This role combines user engagement skills and planning to deliver upfront and continuous design practices in an agile way

Essential skills:

  • Proven experience in user research using agile practices and Scottish Government recommended design practices
  • Strong knowledge of SG Digital Standards and Agile design practices
  • Excellent working knowledge of design and collaboration tools
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform products
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance governance requirements with agile delivery
  • Relevant certifications in research methodologies and/or working with Microsoft technologies
