Cover Supervisors/Unqualified Teachers Wanted - Make a Difference in Newport Secondary Schools

Zen Educate is seeking confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisors to support thriving secondary schools across Newport that are dedicated to academic excellence and student development.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You'll guide classes across a range of subjects, helping students stay focused, engaged, and supported throughout the school day. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with young people and want to make a real impact in education. Whether you are an experienced educator, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with experience in youth work, coaching or mentoring, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons using pre‑planned materials provided by class teachers
• Engage and motivate students to stay on task with不卡的 learning
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to staff on student progress and engagement
• Uphold the school's ethos of respect, inclusion, and high expectations

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with young people in education or a similar setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A confident, professional, and positive approach
• The ability to follow lesson plans and deliver engaging sessions
• A flexible, proactive attitude and commitment to safeguarding children
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• EWC registration (or willingness to register before starting work)

Desirable (but not essential)

• Background in education, youth work, or coaching
• Interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education support
