Overview

If you are interested in becoming highly skilled in obstetrics and gynaecological scanning, become part of a patient-focused team, work closely with obstetricians and gynaecologists, participate in feedback and audits and be an active participant in continued professional development, then this is the department for you.

The ultrasound department is bright and modern with nine ultrasound rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art GE ultrasound equipment. The department is fully linked to PACS. To be an effective member of the Ultrasound team, providing a high quality ultrasound service to both Doctors and patients. To carry out and monitor all aspects of work in the Ultrasound Department and to provide an effective service within the procedures and guidelines agreed with Consultants and Departmental protocols.

The range of work would include early pregnancy, obstetrics, Nuchal Translucency scans, gynaecology, subfertility, transvaginal and Doppler ultrasound. Applicants must hold a Certificate in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent qualification) and have experience in the fore-mentioned scanning techniques and scan to a very high standard.
