Job Advert: Tutor (Standish, Wigan)

Responsibilities

• Deliver Maths and English tuition across EYFS - KS4 to vulnerable pupils, including those awaiting SEN placements or in care.
• Work primarily face-to-face in community settings; provide structure in the pupil’s daily routine and support ongoing educational development.
• Create and deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis; adapt approaches as needed and may use therapeutic techniques to re-engage learners.
• Monitor progression by submitting weekly reports and collaborating with Prospero Teaching to track pupil progress.

• Area: Hindley, Wigan (Standish)
• Hours: 10 hours per pupil per week (flexible caseload)
• Pay: GBP 30/hr
• Subjects: Maths & English, KS1 - KS4
• Contract: Part-time / flexible
• Sessions generally daytime; occasional after-school 3-4pm and evenings
• Session duration: 1-4 hours on a daily or weekly basis
