Overview

Job Advert: Tutor (Hindley, Wigan). We are seeking dedicated Tutors in Hindley (Wigan) to provide Maths & English tuition from Early Years through to KS4.

You will work with vulnerable pupils, including those awaiting SEN placements or in care, delivering primarily face-to-face tuition in community settings.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 tutoring in Maths and English (KS1–KS4) to pupils in community settings.
  • Develop and implement learning plans; use a therapeutic approach as needed to re-engage learners.
  • Provide structure to pupils\' daily routines and support their educational development with the aim of returning to an educational setting.
  • Submit weekly progress reports to Prospero (the agency).

Further Information

The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and to continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.

Prospero will work with you closely to monitor progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.
