A tutoring service provider is looking for a supportive tutor in Alnwick (NE66) to assist young learners in Maths and English. The role involves crafting personal learning experiences, monitoring progress, and creating a conducive environment for learning. Ideal candidates will have experience in tutoring and a patient approach. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £25–£30 with flexible hours and ongoing support from the team.
TP Tutors is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic tutor to work with young learners in Alnwick (NE66) who need a focused, personalised approach to their Maths and English studies.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping students who may have fallen behind, lost confidence, or require a quieter, structured learning environment. You’ll be delivering one-to-one sessions that make a real difference to their progress and wellbeing.
The work takes place face-to-face, either at the pupil’s home or at an agreed local venue during school hours.
Planning and delivering tailored Maths and English sessions
Breaking down tricky concepts into accessible steps
Creating a calm, encouraging learning atmosphere
Monitoring and reporting progress to our team
Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and/or English
A patient, child-centred approach
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
£25–£30 per hour (PAYE)
Flexible working hours
Ongoing support from the TP Tutors team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
