Job summary

A nonprofit organization is seeking bilingual activists to translate trauma-informed content from English to Turkish. The role requires native fluency in Turkish, fluency in English, and experience in related fields such as gender-based violence or mental health. The project involves translating approximately 27 scripts and reviewing others’ work, ensuring accessibility and cultural nuance. This is a remote, freelance contract with flexible hours, lasting from late February to early April 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience working in gender-based violence or mental health.
• Understanding trauma-informed approaches and terminology.
• Ability to commit to translating at least 7 sessions.

Responsibilities

• Translate and localise scripts from English into Turkish.
• Adapt terminology and cultural nuances for Turkish audiences.
• Review and provide feedback on colleagues' translations.
