A leading healthcare organization in Ipswich is seeking a Trauma Registrar responsible for supporting the orthopaedic team and participating in the out-of-hours rota. The role includes supervising junior staff, engaging in teaching programs, and participating in clinical audits. Ideal candidates will hold a valid GMC registration and possess significant surgical experience. This full-time position offers a salary of £65,048 per annum with a contract duration of 12 months, including various training and development opportunities.
Job summary: The Trauma Registrar will have the principal responsibility of supporting the orthopaedic team. Additionally the post-holder will take part in the out of hours rota. Responsibilities will include involvement in a regular teaching programme as well as participating in weekly meetings and monthly audit meetings.

Main duties of the job: The post-holder's clinical duties will include care of ward patients, all aspects of elective orthopaedic trauma, admission and primary care of emergencies, attending the operating theatre for trauma and elective lists and have the opportunity for clinical research. The post-holder will also participate in the department's full shift rota.
