Overview

Job summary

This is a fixed term appointment to the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is identified as an important part of its strategy to remain a preferred provider to local Health Authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups across a wide range of hospital services. The appointment will enhance an existing successful track record of a Unit, which has an enviable reputation for good quality patient care and education.

Main duties

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Deliver quality Orthopaedic services effectively, regularly benchmarking service to improve practice.
  • Support the organisational aim of HHFT positively contributing to management and financial strategies.
  • Enhance and provide professional leadership within the Trauma and Orthopaedic department. Initiate and take part in regular clinical audit.
  • Have an active role in research within the department. Contribute to training and teaching of more junior doctors.
