An exciting post is available for a Trust Grade Registrar to join our Acute Medical Unit at Ealing Hospital. This is a great opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful integrated care NHS Trusts in the UK, with a team of 9,000 dedicated staff.
As part of the restructuring of acute medical services at Ealing, we are looking for one candidate to join our team. Acute Medicine has a dynamic and enthusiastic team of acute physicians at Ealing. The department has a well‑deserved reputation for excellence in teaching and training.
The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a busy 30‑beded ward, with two acute consultants based on the ward during normal working hours. Successful candidates will join our dynamic team of 5 acute consultants and twelve acute junior doctors.
All candidates should be eligible for registration with the GMC, and MRCP Part 2 or equivalent is essential.
The post‑holder will be expected to provide cover to the unit and support the consultants in the AMU in providing medical leadership.

(a) The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the AMU Consultants in the care of acute general medical inpatients, with the opportunity to participate in the Acute Medicine on‑call scheme as well as work in Ambulatory Care and develop procedural skills.
(b) The appointee will be expected to attend and actively participate in departmental and other teaching sessions.
(c) It is expected that the appointee will assist with the teaching of undergraduate medical students attached to the firm and postgraduate doctors.
(d) The appointee is welcome to participate in Clinical Audit and clinical governance activities within the department of Acute Medicine.
(e) We will work to support you through your exams and application processes for further posts / training posts.
