The post holder will have nominated roles as part of the weekly job plan in outpatient’s clinics, ward work and operating theatre with fixed weekly sessions of undergraduate teaching responsibility as well as resident first on call for trauma and orthopaedics at Northwick park hospital.

The holder of this post will work principally with one Consultant, but will be expected to become an integral member of the whole trauma & orthopaedic team. The job plan will consist of regular clinics (fracture and orthopaedic) and theatre lists (Trauma, elective and day surgery).

Elective surgery will take place at Central Middlesex hospital and Trauma will remain in the Ealing site. The holder of this post will take a keen interest in audits and, in conjunction with the SHOs, SPRs and SAS doctors, will be fully involved with audits and assist with the preparation of the monthly audit meetings. Analyse data and provide research and development to the department for clinical governance.

The successful applicant will be a team player, but also able to work individually. You will be a confident and clear communicator possessing excellent computerised data management and verbal reasoning skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy and experience in prioritising workloads.
