We have an exciting opportunity for a ST1/ST2 doctor to work with us from 04th February until 04th August 2026 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at Whipps Cross Hospital.The Post holder will be a key member of the medical team responsible for the treatment and care of women within our two antenatal/postnatal wards, the Delivery Suite, Gynaecology inpatient ward, Emergency Gynaecology unit (EGU) and Accident and Emergency. In addition, it is expected that he/she will undertake outpatient clinics and operating lists as scheduled.

Main duties of the job

The Post holder will be a key member of the medical team responsible for the treatment and care of women within our two antenatal/postnatal wards, the Delivery Suite, Gynaecology inpatient ward, Emergency Gynaecology unit (EGU) and Accident and Emergency. In addition, it is expected that he/she will undertake outpatient clinics and operating lists as scheduled. The Obstetrics & Gynaecology service at Whipps Cross is renowned not only for training but also for the breadth of experience available due to the diverse demography and epidemiology of the local population.Although this post is not recognised for training, the position will undoubtedly provide valuable experience to those wishing to secure future posts with training recognition. Examples of experience available to potential candidate include the high-risk obstetric clinics, urogynaecology clinic, infertility clinics, hysteroscopy clinic and colposcopy.The Postholder will work within 40-hour EWTD compliant rota with on call commitment
