Position: Tree and Landscaping Officer

Location: Kettering

Hours: 37 per week

Pay: £18.26 Per hour PAYE (Inc Holiday) | £23.32 Per hour LTD Umbrella

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Tree and Landscaping Officer on a temporary basis to support a public‑sector client. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for arboricultural professionals to utilise their expertise in tree management, preservation, and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities of the Tree and Landscaping Officer:
  • Provide specialist arboricultural guidance and technical assessments.
  • Conduct tree inspections, site visits, and evaluate tree safety and condition.
  • Process applications such as Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and conservation area notifications.
  • Respond to inquiries and support enforcement actions relating to tree protection.
  • Contribute to planning consultations, ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation.
  • Help meet environmental, sustainability, and biodiversity objectives.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to health & safety legislation and industry standards.
Candidate Responsibilities for the Tree and Landscaping Officer:
  • Carry out detailed tree surveys and safety assessments.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations based on site inspections.
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, developers, and the public.
  • Manage casework efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Support environmental initiatives through expert advice and planning.
  • Driving to locations throughout the County (Mileage Expense paid through use of own vehicle at 0.45p per mile).
