Job description

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Travel, Tourism & Aviation Lecturer to join our Service Industries department.

In this exciting role you will be delivering teaching and learning across ourTravel, Tourism & Aviation provision across mainly Level 2-3.

Working closely with your managers and the rest of the departmental team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with students to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as both a course lead and a personal tutor to students, whilst promoting attendance, participating in team meetings and contributing to the planning, development and reviewing of activities within your subject area. It is also essential that you contribute to various open evenings, parent’s evenings and similar events as and when required.

Due to student growth we have got various hours available, with full-time and part-time opportunities available. The working hours for this role is 8:45am - 5pm.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Travel & Tourism, and/or Aviation qualifications at minimum level 3 or above
  • Previous relevant teaching experience (preferably within FE)
  • Travel & Tourism or Aviation industry experience
  • Knowledge of current developments in the FE/Adult curriculum

A teach qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
