Overview

This is a Transport Team Manager role at our new distribution centre in Ellesmere Port. This position works a 5 from 7 shift pattern (including weekends) from 22:00 to 06:00, operating in line with company values to provide excellent customer service to our retail teams and drivers, while collaborating with DC loading teams and meeting all legal requirements. A Class 1 License is required.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct driver pre-shift briefings (despatching drivers) and de-briefs.
  • General day-to-day management of drivers.
  • R2C data entry, as well as completing Scania grading / reports.
  • Conduct return-to-work meetings, 4/8/12 week reviews and conduct/absence investigations.
  • Provide customer service to the retail teams when needed.
  • Liaise with DC teams and complete near-miss reporting.
  • Provide support to the Transport Shift Manager where required.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of health and safety control and data control.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer literate with good numerical skills.
  • Ability to engage with colleagues.
