Job description

Salary: Up to £35,400 per annum, plus bonus scheme

Hours: 8.30am-6pm

Location: Head Office, Mayfield

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Team Leader to join our team based in our Head Office. This role will be responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day logistics of the NWH fleet across several different vehicle sectors including Tipper vehicles.

The ideal candidate would have experience within a similar role, knowledge of Transport Legislation, have the ability to manage a demanding situation, and be a positive team player.

It is essential to be competent in using the Microsoft Office packages and to be confident navigating online platforms e.g. tracker and work allocation systems.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8.30am-6pm with 1 in 4 saturday mornings on call and will offer a competitive salary of £35,400 per annum dependant on experience plus you will be part of a bonus scheme.

Job Activities:

  • Communicate and allocate work with drivers as cost effectively and efficiently as possible
  • Leading a team of drivers in a positive proactive manner
  • Assist other transport team leaders in the logistics of their vehicles and drivers as required
  • Enforcing Health, Safety and Compliance requirements with drivers
  • Management of driving staff including recording of sickness, holidays, payroll, and continuously reviewing driver performance.
