Summary

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and adaptable Transport Planner to join our busy multi-drop distribution operation covering London and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for planning efficient delivery routes, managing daily transport activities and ensuring compliance.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday role, working Monday - Thursday 10am - 7pm and Friday 9am - 6pm (1 hour break).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan multi-drop delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet customer service level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance to legislative requirements including Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Work closely with the team of Drivers, conducting briefs and de-briefs, managing their workloads and resolving any driver queries.
  • Support the Transport Manager with compliance, audits and reporting.
  • Liaise with the wider team to support transport activities and ensure that an excellent service is delivered to customers.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance and route efficiency.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a planning role within a fast-paced transport operation, ideally within a multi-drop environment.
  • Good geographical knowledge of London and the South of England.
  • Knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
  • Good IT skills including use of Excel and transport management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise with internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • High levels of organisation and problem-solving skills.
