Job description

Position: Transport Planner
Location: East of England Showground, Peterborough (PE2)
Shift pattern: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-16:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• To manage and book logistics movements as part of a servicing contract ensuring all vehicles are transported from customer home addresses to the servicing centre and returned once the servicing is completed
• Pro actively communicate with site transporter and third party drivers to ensure customer bookings are met within SLA
• Work with on site servicing team to ensure PDI's are completed to avoid delays and shortfalls of brand targets
• Update transport planning systems to reflect the updated transport planning move allocation with carriers
• Communicate planned moves with transport companies in advance to ensure correct resourcing levels and smooth deliveries
• Use monthly reporting to review move efficiency tracking to understand where efficiency improvements can be made
• Monthly invoicing and back up and sense check the data before sending to the brand 3 working days after month end

✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Previous Transport Planning experience is essential
• Strong administration experience
• Excellent communication both verbally and written (Liaising with internal and external stakeholders)
• Experience using Paragon planning tool or similar would be desirable
• IT Literate - Transport Planning system (Paragon), Excel, Word and Outlook
• Data analysis skills with excellent attention to detail
• Team Player with the proven ability to take ownership of specific tasks
