Overview

VANRATH are assisting with the recruitment of a Transport Planner for a major company. This is a Full-time position. Permanent position - Position of work is Newry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily administrative support to the transport team.
  • Assist in scheduling drivers, vehicles, and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver hours, vehicle checks, and compliance documents.
  • Support route planning and resource allocation.
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and colleagues to resolve queries efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and company standards.
  • Prepare reports and manage digital systems.
About You
  • Minimum 1 year of admin experience, ideally in transport or logistics.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable interacting at all levels.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
  • A proactive team player with a positive attitude.
