Transport Manager

The Collective Network is proud to be supporting a well-established business in Leicester in their search for an experienced Transport Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take ownership of a diverse transport operation and play a key role in driving compliance, efficiency, and excellence across the department.

The Role

As Transport Manager, you'll provide strategic and hands-on support to ensure smooth and compliant operations. You'll oversee fleet management, compliance, and driver supervision, while contributing to the wider business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence undertakings and working time regulations.
• Manage fleet records, inspections, and service planning to guarantee 100% compliance.
• Oversee route planning, working closely with the Transport Planner to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Recruit, train, and manage drivers and support staff, ensuring operational effectiveness.
• Maintain key transport systems including Tachomaster, R&M portals, ULEZ, and fuel accounts.
• Build and manage strong supplier and third-party relationships.
• Support the Logistics Manager with ongoing projects and strategic initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Transport Manager CPC - essential.
• Proven experience managing an Operator Licence.
• Strong understanding of transport compliance and tracking systems.
• Excellent organisational and people management skills.
• Category C licence desirable but not essential.

The Offer

• Salary: £40,000
• Location: Leicester
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to meet business needs.
