Position: TransportFirst Line Manager
Location: Peterborough, PE2 6XE
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (06:00-14:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Responsible for driver and fleet legal compliance during shift in accordance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards
• Manage Driver performance to identify any major discrepancies in accordance with the Daily Transport Plan
• Safe, legal and efficient execution of transport operations during a duty shift to network SLA's/KPI's
• Review and amend where appropriate daily transport and operational plans
• Daily operations issue management and resolution for transport and with local warehouse
• Management of short term driver absence and relocation of work
• Ensuring and sampling pre-shift checks (yard checks) and the defect process
• Being a point of contact and escalation, including for accident and breakdown management, whilst on shift

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Previous experience working within a fleet function/Transport environment, managing a team of drivers is essential
• Supervisory skills - managing individual performance/absenteeism/conflict and development
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• A hands-on approach, ready to roll up your sleeves and tackle challenges head-on
• Ability to execute site plans efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced automotive environment
• Excellent communications skills - Verbal and written
