Overview

Stobart (Part of the Culina Group) is a leading ambient transport and logistics business. The Transport Coordinator role collaborates with the Transport Manager to manage the day-to-day operation of the site and driver workforce, ensuring compliance and efficient resource planning. The role supports the interview process for drivers, maintains personnel files, and assists with driver-related administration to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Transport Manager to manage day-to-day site operations and the driver workforce.
  • Complete daily risk assessments of the yard and office.
  • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a tracker for the Working Time Directive for drivers.
  • Coordinate CPC driver records.
  • Proactively manage driver resource versus vehicle requirements to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain vehicle allocation records.
  • Manage staff absence and new starter / leaver information.
  • Process driver holiday requests.
  • Assist the Transport Manager with the interview process for drivers.
  • Ensure all personnel files are up to date and manage driver expenses.
Qualifications
  • Transport experience in FMCG environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of general operations.
  • Knowledge and experience of tachograph and driving rules and regulations.
