Founded in 1920 in the Netherlands, our family-owned company strongly focuses on safety and sustainability. Together with our customers and suppliers, we develop smart logistics solutions that contribute to a more efficient supply chain. We operate worldwide with 54 locations in 27 countries. Our team consists of over 2,600 employees, and we manage a modern fleet of 25,000 tank containers, 5,000 dry bulk containers and trailers, 575 tank trailers, and nearly 900 trucks.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Transport Co-ordinator to strengthen our Continental Operations Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating intermodal transport across Europe, ensuring seamless connections between road, rail, and sea freight. This is a dynamic position that requires strong logistics planning skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to deliver operational excellence while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of every decision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport Planning & Execution – Ensure on-time deliveries and loading schedules through effective third party planning, problem-solving, and continuous coordination with all stakeholders.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Communication – Act as the central point of contact between suppliers, carriers, customer service teams, and internal departments, ensuring booking instructions are accurate, timely, and transparent.
  • Operational Excellence – Execute daily logistics activities with a clear understanding of financial impact, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in internal systems.
  • Issue Resolution & Risk Management – Proactively identify and escalate operational issues, volume fluctuations, and customs-related matters to minimise disruptions.
  • Time-Critical Cargo Monitoring – Closely track urgent and priority shipments, ensuring timely arrivals and communicating delays or exceptions promptly, including cost approvals where necessary.
  • Customer-Focused Problem Solving – Provide clear alternatives and solutions in case of disruptions, always ensuring smooth, customer-focused logistics operations.
What we’re looking for

As a Transport Co-ordinator, you’ll thrive if you bring a mix of operational expertise and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A solid understanding of Customs regulations and international trade compliance (advantageous but not essential).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering the highest standards of quality.
  • Resilience under pressure, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving market and customer demands.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • A growth mindset – eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to pursue ongoing training and professional development.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and logistics administration skills with the ability to stay on top of complex transport schedules.
  • A solution-focused, proactive team player who can also work independently when needed.
  • Confidence in managing multiple priorities, working at pace, and consistently meeting deadlines.

  • A culture built on trust, ownership, and responsibility, where your contributions truly matter.
  • A dynamic and innovative work environment, with operational excellence, continuous improvement, and teamwork at its core.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and personal development, supported by tailored training programmes.
  • A competitive benefits package, including:
    • Excellent pension and life assurance schemes
    • 33 days of annual holiday, including bank holidays
    • Cycle-to-work scheme
    • Access to our Benefit Hub for exclusive perks and discounts
